Bi Yanchun carries out Business Activities in Iraq

From September 15 to 18, Baghdad time, Bi Yanchun, Chairman of CRIG, conducted business activities in Iraq. He accompanied Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammad Hijau al-Sudani to attend the opening ceremony of the Nisour Multi-dimensional Transportation Hub Project in Baghdad, paid a visit to Chinese Ambassador to Iraq Cui Wei, and held talks with Iraqi Minister of Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bangun Abdullah Rekani and Director of the Water Bureau Amar Adel Hussein.

On September 16, Bi Yanchun met with Cui Wei, Chinese Ambassador to Iraq. Bi Yanchun thanked the embassy and Ambassador Cui Wei for the long-term support and assistance to CRIG's production, operations, and management in the Iraqi market, and expressed CRIG's commitment to promoting practical cooperation between China and Iraq. Ambassador Cui Wei congratulated CRIG on the successful completion of the Nisour project and expressed hope that CRIG will make greater contributions to the high-quality Belt and Road Cooperation.

On September 17, Bi Yanchun and his delegation met with Iraqi Minister of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, Bangun Abdullah Rekani, expressing gratitude for the strong trust and support in the construction of the Nisour project. He expressed his commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation in infrastructure construction between CRIG and the Iraqi government. Minister Rekani fully recognized the professionalism, performance, and dedication of CRIG, and expressed his hope that CRIG would participate more in Iraqi infrastructure projects and contribute to Iraq's economic and social development.

On the same day, Bi Yanchun and his delegation visited Amar Adel Hussein, Director of the Iraqi National Water Authority. The two sides conducted in-depth communication on key matters such as key project planning, survey and design, construction organization, and safety coordination, and reached a broad consensus.
