From July 15th to 17th, the 2025 World Youth Development Forum (WYDF), themed "Unleash Youth Potential for Global Development," was held in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province. Co-hosted by the All-China Youth Federation, the United Nations in China, and the World Youth Development Forum Organizing Committee, the forum gathered approximately 500 participants, including ministers of youth affairs, heads of youth organizations, youth leaders, and key youth project leaders from over 100 countries and 17 international organizations. Three youth representatives from CREC attended the forum.
Three young representatives from CREC attended the forum's opening ceremony and related sub-forum activities, Zhao Jianyu, Secretary of the Communist Youth League Committee of CRIG ; Danny Ooi Cheong Yeung, Project Manager of the Pan Borneo Expressway in Sabah, Malaysia; and Viktor Balazsin, Chief Interpreter of the Hungarian branch of CREC Electrification Bureau. Zhao Jianyu, as a representative of young Chinese enterprises, was interviewed by Suzhou Broadcasting System. He highlighted the contributions of CREC and other Chinese companies to the high-quality joint construction of the Belt and Road Initiative and shared vivid cases of how young people from Chinese enterprises and the global youth are collaborating to advance global development. Danny Ooi Cheong Yeung talked about his growth journey since joining CREC, shared the positive changes brought by his project to the local community, and expressed his willingness to contribute to China-Malaysia friendship through concrete actions. Viktor Balazsin, one of the youth representatives from 10 countries, read out the "International Youth Initiative: Expanding Youth Potential and Supporting Global Development" at the opening ceremony, calling on young people worldwide to implement the initiative through concrete actions and inject youthful vitality into global development and progress.
CRIG has always attached great importance to youth foreign affairs. In recent years, the CRIG Youth Volunteer Translation Service Team, composed of outstanding young interpreters and international interdisciplinary talents from the entire company, has centered on core tasks and served the overall interests. With its multilingual and cross-cultural capabilities, the team has successfully undertaken high-quality work such as protocol liaison, translation and communication, event hosting at international conferences such as the WTO Ministerial Meeting, the G20 Summit, the International Infrastructure Investment and Construction Summit Forum, the China-ASEAN Expo, and corporate activities such as CREC Open Day and International Students Visiting CREC.
