The Etihad Railway Stations are the first large-scale railway project constructed by CREC’s member company in the Middle East in a D&B (design and build) model. With a total floor area of over 20,000 square meters, the project includes 3 large and medium-sized stations, i.e. Abu Dhabi MBZ Station, Dubai EXPO Station, and FUJAIRAH Station, which are important hub projects of the UAE railway network.

The Etihad Railway is 1,200 kilometers long and the only railway project funded by the UAE government. It is also the first national freight and passenger railway network in the UAE that connects seven emirates and an important part of the Gulf Railway. After its completion, it will improve the UAE’s transport network, contribute to its railway modernization, and promote the regional coordinated economic development.

In the future,  CRIG along with collaborating parties will step up efforts to construct the project into an exemplar with high quality, further enhancing its brand acclamation in the Middle East. CRIG is to make new contributions to the development of modern railways in the UAE.
