Prime Minister, Brigadier (Ret'd), the Honourable Mark Phillips, who is currently performing the functions of President, met with Mr Bi YunChun, Chair of China Railway International Group Co., Ltd. (CRIG), at the Office of the Prime Minister on Camp Street this afternoon. During the meeting, the Chair briefed Prime Minister Phillips on CRIG's operations, company profile, and its interest in Guyana.
Prime Minister Phillips noted that the Government is committed to creating a business-friendly environment while advancing its developmental agenda to benefit the people of Guyana.
The discussions also explored opportunities for investment and further diversification into Guyana's economy, particularly in the new and renewable energy sectors and other infrastructure projects.
The CRIG Chair was accompanied by the Vice President of China Railway-Latin America, Mr Enguang Liang; China Railway Country Manager, Mr Alex Wang; and Head of Marketing, Ms Yi Han.
China Railway International Group Co., Ltd. (CRIG), a subsidiary of China Railway Group Limited (CREC), serves as the main platform for China Railway's international business, focusing on construction contracting, EPC contracting, and investment operations.
