On June 26, Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani inspected the Nisour Square Development Project in Baghdad, which was designed and constructed by CRIG, and announced it to be fully opened in the near future. This is also the fourth time that Prime Minister al-Sudani has visited the construction site of the project. The Minister of Housing and Construction, and the Governor of Baghdad Province, accompanied him on the inspection.
Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani inspected the construction of the shortly-opened Baghdad Nisour Bridge, and learned about a special report on the progress of the project implementation. He expressed his appreciation for the remarkable achievements made by CRIG when constructing the project in terms of scientific arrangement, careful organization, efficient coordination, standardization, accuracy, high-quality contract performance and localized management.
He emphasized that the project is an important part of the first package of economic and people's livelihood plans launched to promote the steady development of the capital, Baghdad. It is also an important project led by the current government to alleviate traffic congestion in the capital. The construction environment is very different and complex, and comprehensive coordination is difficult. He hopes that CRIG will continue to take responsibility and coordinate all parties to ensure that the Main Nisour Bridge is opened to traffic as scheduled and with high quality in accordance with the milestone requirements to effectively alleviate the traffic congestion in the Nisour area and promote the overall traffic relief in the capital
