Bi Yanchun Conducts Business Activities in South Africa

From May 15 to 17, Bi Yanchun, Chairman of CRIG, went to South Africa to conduct business activities, investigate and promote the construction of PRASA railway signal project and communication project, and further deepen the cooperation between the company and relevant parties in South Africa in the field of infrastructure construction. Zhang Lizhi, President of China Railway Wuhan Electrification Bureau Group, also participated in the relevant activities.

On May 15, Bi Yanchun held talks with Sorin Baltac, Chief Strategic Asset Officer of the Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa and other relative parties. The two sides reviewed the pleasant meeting in Beijing and communicated on promoting the ongoing projects and expanding cooperation. Bi Yanchun said that CRIG will give full play to its all-round advantages in technology, resources, management and other aspects in the field of rail transit to promote high-quality performance of projects. CRIG will take the implementation the projects as an opportunity to further consolidate and deepen the pragmatic cooperation, jointly promote the development of South Africa's railway infrastructure, and contribute the strength of CREC to the local economic and social development and people's livelihood. Sorin Baltac warmly welcomed Bi Yanchun and his delegation. On May 16, Bi Yanchun paid a visit to Liu Yu, Minister Counselor of the Economic and Commercial Office of the Chinese Embassy in South Africa. Bi Yanchun introduced the history of CREC, its overseas business layout, the market development in southern Africa and South Africa, and the progress of the company's key projects under construction. Bi Yanchun thanked the embassy for its guidance and concern for the company's overseas development and the implementation of local projects. He said that CREC will make full use of its great strength and rich experience in the field of rail transit to actively promote the high-quality and efficient performance of the projects and promote the sustainable and stable development of the company's local business. At the same time, it will strengthen corporate brand building, actively fulfill social responsibilities, continuously explore the South African infrastructure construction market, contribute to the friendly cooperation between China and South Africa, and facilitate the BRI cooperation in a steady and far-reaching way. She hoped that CREC would actively strengthen the connection between the BRI cooperation and South Africa's "Economic Reconstruction and Recovery Plan" while vigorously and effectively implementing of ongoing projects.
