Zhao Jinxiang Conducts Business Activities in South America

From June 14 to 19, Zhao Jinxiang, President of CRIG, went to Argentina and Bolivia to carry out a series of business activities. He paid visits to Wang Wei, Chinese ambassador to Argentina, Wang Liang, Chinese ambassador to Bolivia, and Deputy Minister of Mines of Bolivia. He also held talks with the heads of relevant organizations.

On the morning of June 14, Zhao Jinxiang met with Chinese Ambassador to Argentina, Wang Wei. Zhao Jinxiang expressed his gratitude to the embassy and Ambassador Wang Wei for their support for the development of CREC's overseas business, and introduced CREC's overseas business layout and business development in Latin America, as well as the ongoing projects in Argentina. Zhao Jinxiang said that CREC has been deeply exploring Argentine market for many years and has actively participated in Argentina's infrastructure construction. CREC will continue to give full play to the company's advantages in the entire industrial chain in the field of infrastructure, actively and deeply promote the solid localization, and contribute to Argentina's economic and social development.

Ambassador Wang Wei said that Argentina has huge potential in terms of infrastructure markets such as railways, roads, mining, and energy, and the business environment is constantly improving. He hopes that CREC will give full play to its corporate advantages, actively enter the mid-to-high-end market of Argentina's infrastructure industrial chain, strengthen cooperation with local companies, deeply integrate into the local infrastructure market, and jointly promote related projects to make new progress, so as to contribute to China-Argentina friendly cooperation.

On the same day, Zhao Jinxiang held talks with Zhang Junguo, Chairman of ICBC (Argentina). The two sides exchanged views on the local economic development, financial situation, and business environment, and discussed how to strengthen the in-depth cooperation between two sides in the country and region.

On June 19, Zhao Jinxiang paid a visit to Wang Liang, Chinese Ambassador to Bolivia. Zhao Jinxiang thanked Ambassador Wang Liang for his long-term concern and support for CREC, and introduced CREC's overseas layout and business development in Latin America, as well as the key projects in Bolivia. Zhao Jinxiang said that CREC has been deeply exploring the Bolivian market for many years, giving full play to its management and resource advantages to promote the high-quality construction of the El Espino Highway. In the next step, in the implementation of the zinc smelter project and the Oruro Highway project, it will give full play to the nationwide resource advantages and make good use of the local management experience to promote the high-quality project construction and contribute to the economic and social development of Bolivia.

Ambassador Wang Liang welcomed the visit of Zhao Jinxiang and his delegation, and highly appreciated the achievements of CREC in promoting infrastructure cooperation between China and Bolivia. He said that the Oruro Highway Project has received much attention from top Bolivian government officials, and the zinc smelter project is a key and demonstration project of China-Bolivia cooperation. The construction of the two projects has great political and economic significance. He hopes that CREC and related parties will complete the project construction efficiently and with high quality, and contribute to the practical cooperation between China and Bolivia.
